Add User Added Transfer Courses

This article provides instructions for creating User Added Transfer Courses in TES®.

After creating a User Added Transfer Institution, Data Set, and Department, the next step is to create the User Added Course (or Courses) that requires evaluation.

If already navigating from the User Added Course Department screen, skip to step 6.

  1. Go to Match.
  2. Select User Added Courses.
  3. The user will be prompted to select the type of data to manage.
    • Home Data is selected by default.
        • Toggle the Transfer Data radio button.
        • Select Submit.
  4. On the User Added Institution screen, select the arrow to the left of the institution within which the course will be created ("Select an institution").
  5. Next, on the User Added Data Set screen, again select the arrow to the left of the institution's name ("Select a data set").
  6. Then, on the User Added Course Department screen, select + Add Course.
  7. The ADD COURSE pop-up will appear, displaying the User Added Departments within which the course is able to be created.
    • Mark the checkbox to the left of the correct Department name.
    • Select Next.

A checkmark to the left of the Mathematics department name indicates that the User Added Course is being created within this Department.

  1. Enter the course information below.
    • The number of courses being added will be noted ("You will be adding 1 course.").
      • Multiple courses can be added at the same time.
        • For instance, if an institution wanted to create a 1xx-level transfer elective within each Department, the school would select all the applicable Departments from the list. Then, the institution would enter a course code (i.e., 1xx) and select the Apply Department Abbreviation checkbox to create an instance of the transfer elective in each Department chosen.

Add Course pop-up, as described below.
