2018 TES Enhancements
November
11/19/2018 Export List of Users
On 11/19/2018 TES Administrators gained the ability to export a list of all of their active users for their account.
This should hopefully provide an additional tool to help maintain your users as this list could be compared to a list of active employees at your institution. It will also be helpful in helping to determine what user rights are assigned to each user.
For more information see: Export a List of Users
11/15/2018 TES Equivalency Export Gets New Institution Identifier Codes
Beginning 11/15/2018, TES administrators will be able to take advantage of an enhanced equivalency export. In this new export format, we are going to allow TES administrators to choose up to three (3) sets of institutional identifiers to be included in their export file. These identifiers are OPEID, IPEDS, and CEEB. As shown in the following screenshot, we are adding three checkboxes for these codes. These codes will appear after the “SendInstitutionCountry” column in the report.
In case you were wondering, CollegeSource collects and updates the OPEID, CEEB, and IPEDS code changes annually. We will not be adding any User-Added CEEB codes to our database, so if you have created “custom” CEEB codes at your institution, we recommend you use a secondary identifier to try to match those institutions.

Group Reports Update
In an effort to standardize the features of Group Reports in TES, the ability to send PDF versions via email and to show public notes were added to the Equivalency Finder and the Public View.
Ability to Send Group Report as PDF
The ability to send a group report as a PDF or as embedded HTML has existed in Equivalency Manager since TES 4.0. With this enhancement, we added these features to Equivalency Explorer and Public View. This also allows users who are using TES Group Reports in Transferology as Group Reports

06/27/2018 Update to Public and Private Note Indicator in Equivalency Manager
We changed the icons associated with notes in Equivalency Manager to help aid in the identification of the type of note associated with an equivalency.
Prior to this change, users had to guess what type of note was associated with equivalencies. For both public and private notes a blue check box would appear and a user would have to click into an equivalency to see what that note was indicating.
Now, the check box only indicates a public note. For private notes, an exclamation point will display. For equivalencies with both a public and private note, both icons will display.
This change has been applied to Equivalency Manager, Equivalency Batch Editor - Equivalency Search, and Equivalency Batch Editor - Health Check Report.
06/05/2018 User-Added Transfer Courses
With this feature, you can add institutions, catalogs (data sets), departments, and/or courses to your TES data set that don’t actually exist in TES currently. For example, if you see a course on a student's transcript that you can't find in an official catalog for the institution, you can add it! If you want to define equivalencies to an institution that doesn't appear in TES, you can do that, too!
For more information regarding this feature see: User-Added Transfer Courses
Also, the feature formerly known as User-Added Courses is now being referred to as User-Added Home Courses.

02/09/2018 User-Added Home Course Redesign
When a user navigates to the User-Added Home Courses screen in TES, they now see a catalog drop-down menu and a department drop-down menu. The department drop-down menu defaults to the latest edition and the department drop-down menu defaults to the alphabetically first department.
The department drop-down is alphabetized, this means any user-added departments will appear mixed in the list with the other departments. You can tell it is a user-added department after it is selected because an edit button will appear to the left of the departmental dropdown.
When adding/editing a user-added department a check is performed to prevent duplication in Department Name and/or Abbreviation.
When adding/editing a user-added course a check is performed to prevent duplication in the Course Code.

01/24/2018 Updated Catalog and Transcript Viewer
- Users can now use wild card expressions to search the catalog. This means you can use regular expressions to search within a catalog.
- When selecting text a pop-up will automatically appear with an option to copy that text to your computer's clipboard to make copying and pasting easier.
- Enhanced mobile support
The transcript viewer was updated to be a full-page document and the search option was moved to the top menu bar.
If you are experiencing an issue with viewing the catalog, your internet browser is most likely the culprit. Many browsers cache the code used for a website to help speed up the site loading time the next time you visit that site. Since we changed the code, the browser is getting confused. Luckily there is an easy fix. All you have to do is clear the browser cache. Here are some links for popular internet browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, and Safari.
01/15/2018 Evaluation Tracker Email Notification Function Enhancement
The option to send an email notification has been added to all options in the evaluation workflow where a task gets re-assigned to another user.
Users had previously only been able to send an email notification when a user created, approved an evaluation task. We have now expanded this functionality to include the Denials and Need More Information tasks as while. All email notifications are controlled by the default setting on the Evaluation Workflow Settings page on the manage tab.
01/15/2018 Added Option to Add Comment to Batch Re-assign
A comment field was added to the batch re-assign function in the all open evaluation queue.
This allows users to add a comment in the evaluation log file as to why the tasks were re-assigned. This enhancement makes the batch re-assign function the same, functionally, as the normal Re-assign action in the evaluation workflow.
For more information on Batch re-assigning, see: Re-Assign an Open Evaluation
