Usage Statistics: TES General Use Report
Usage Statistics provides insight into how individuals at an institution use TES®. A TES Administrator can review these to glean valuable insight into what features staff and faculty use and how. This article provides an overview of the TES General Use report.
In this article:
Generate a Report
- Go to the Manage menu.
- Select Usage Statistics.
- Navigate to VIEW REPORT.
- Under Report Type, TES General Use is selected by default.
4. Adjust the report filters.
From Date: The first date the data is collected from; defaults to the first day of the current month. (use the calendar button to select or the keyboard to enter; format MM/DD/YYYY) |
To Date: The last day the data is collected from; defaults to yesterday's date. The current date and future dates cannot be selected. (use the calendar button to select or the keyboard to enter; format MM/DD/YYYY) |
Who: The TES user on which activity/usage will be reported. (select from the drop-down or search across all users [EVERYONE]) |
Statistics returned are limited to the last ten years and cannot include the current date.
5. Select View Stats.
Report Data
The TES® General Use report is divided into four sections:
- LOG ENTRIES BY USAGE TYPE.
- LOG ENTRIES BY USER.
- LOG ENTRIES BY USER BY USAGE TYPE,
- EQUIVALENCY COUNT.
Data can be highlighted and copied/pasted into Excel for reporting.
LOG ENTRIES BY USAGE TYPE
This section provides an aggregate count of the number of times an activity was performed in TES®. This list displays only those features of TES that users accessed during the queried timeframe; if they were not accessed, they will not be displayed in the list.

LOG ENTRIES BY USER
This section reports how many times a user (or users) have logged into TES® during the queried timeframe. Use the index to move between pages.
LOG ENTRIES BY USER BY USAGE TYPE
This section reports the number of times an individual user (or users) has accessed a specific function in TES®. Use the index to move between pages.
EQUIVALENCY COUNT
This section reports the total number of equivalencies established at the institution (date ranging does not apply). Note that this is an aggregate count that would include duplicate equivalencies and all equivalencies established at branch campuses of the same college
