Equivalency Explorer: Reciprocal

This report lists the equivalencies to courses from your institution created by other institutions that subscribe to, and store their equivalencies in, TES.

You can look at these equivalencies and either create reciprocal equivalencies to individual courses, selected courses, or all of the courses.

  • To open the Reciprocal Report, open the Equivalency Explorer.

  • Click the Reciprocal radio button.
  • Click the Submit button.

  • Select the institution using the arrow button to the left of the row.

  • Select the Equivalency Data Set to display the list of equivalencies that the institution has defined.

  • To view an individual equivalency, click the arrow button next to it.

  • To create an individual equivalency check the course checkbox.

  • Click the Create button.

  • Enter the equivalency details in the CREATE COURSE EQUIVALENCY popup and click the Submit button.
  • To create multiple equivalencies all in one step, check the checkboxes for the equivalencies you want to create.
    • You can click selected checkboxes or all of them (using the checkbox at the top of each page).
    • You can select equivalencies on multiple pages by using the page navigation at the top or bottom of each page.
      • Selected boxes will remain checked when you navigate to the next page.

  • Click the Create button.

  • Enter the equivalency details in the CREATE COURSE EQUIVALENCY popup and click the Submit button.
    • The information you include here will be added to every selected equivalency (in this example, 135 equivalencies).

Use the Reciprocal Report to quickly add equivalencies to courses from other institutions that have designated transfer equivalencies to your courses. Only actually catalog courses will appear in these lists. In other words, if an institution has designated that your course will be accepted by their institution for elective credit (with a User-Added Course as the target), you will not see that equivalency in this list.
